Amex Business Platinum Global Entry Credit: How to Use It

The The Business Platinum Card from American Express includes a statement credit of up to $120 toward the Global Entry application fee — covering the full $120 cost. Here's how to redeem it, and — the part nobody tells you — how to actually get the interview appointment afterward.

How to redeem the credit

  1. Apply for Global Entry at ttp.cbp.dhs.gov ($120 application fee, valid 5 years).
  2. Pay the fee with your Amex Business Platinum — the statement credit posts automatically, typically within one or two billing cycles.
  3. The credit renews every 4 years, so it also covers your next renewal — or a family member's application if your card's terms allow.

Same Global Entry benefit as the consumer Platinum, on the business card. Check your card's benefits page for the exact current terms.

The credit covers the fee — not the wait

As of June 2026, 18 of the 123 Global Entry enrollment centers we monitor list no open interviews at all, and another 9 have nothing within the next two months. After CBP conditionally approves your application, you still need an in-person interview (or Enrollment on Arrival when re-entering the US), and that's where most applicants get stuck.

Get the interview, not just the fee credit

Cancelled interview slots open up every day — they're just gone within minutes. Haya watches the official CBP scheduler every 5 minutes, around the clock, and alerts you the moment a slot opens at your enrollment center. Email alerts are free; push and SMS alerts for near-term slots are on Pro.
